Who we are

Mateman.store is the online store of Yerbaman FZ LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. We sell yerba mate, gourds, bombillas, herbs and gift sets to customers in the UAE and across the GCC.

Information we collect

Order information: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address including apartment or flat number and floor, the items you buy and the value of your order.

Account information: if you create an account, your email address, an encrypted password and any profile details you choose to add.

Payment information: card details are entered on Stripe's secure payment pages. We never see or store full card numbers; we only receive confirmation of payment, the amount and the last digits of the card.

Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or the live chat on the site.

Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you reached the site.

How we use it

To take payment, prepare and deliver your order, and keep you updated about it.

To answer your questions and provide customer support.

To keep records required for accounting, tax and consumer protection purposes.

To understand how the shop is used so we can improve products, pages and delivery.

To send marketing emails only where you have asked to receive them. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

Stripe processes card payments and fraud checks on our behalf.

Delivery partners receive the name, address and phone number needed to complete your delivery.

Our hosting and database provider stores the shop's data on secure managed servers.

Google Analytics gives us aggregated statistics about visits to the public shop pages. Admin and account areas are not measured.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Cookies and local storage

Your cart and wishlist are kept in your browser's local storage so your selections survive a page refresh.

A session cookie keeps you signed in if you create an account.

Analytics cookies record anonymous visit statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the shop will still work, though your cart may not be remembered.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for as long as UAE accounting and tax rules require.

Account details are kept until you ask us to close your account.

Support messages and chat transcripts are kept while they are useful for customer service and then deleted.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

To make any of these requests, contact us and tell us which email address or order number your request relates to.

Security

Data is stored on managed, access-controlled servers. Passwords are stored encrypted, payments run through Stripe, and the store's admin area is limited to authorized staff accounts only.

Children

The shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page. Please check back occasionally for the current version.
