How to prepare the perfect mate
Five deliberate moves. No ceremony required—just warm water and a little attention.

Fill the mate gourd.
Fill it roughly two-thirds with yerba.

Form the mountain.
Tilt the yerba so it rests on one side.

Add warm water.
Pour 70°C / 158°F water into the lower side.

Insert the bombilla.
Pack gently against the yerba mountain and settle beneath it.

Sip, refill and share.
Keep pouring into the same pocket until the flavor softens.
